Defiance & Freedom draws on the defiance, fighting spirit, and freedom found in Edo-period ukiyo-e. Tattooed heroes, outlaws, rogue warriors, and figures who refused to submit are brought into the present as symbols of conviction, resistance, and individual freedom.

More than decoration, each work is printed one at a time with museum-quality giclée precision on authentic Awa washi and made to stand for the freedom to live by one’s own code.
